Smile – a part of Moves Peripheries

Smile - a dance performance and video installation .

How do people relate to each other when disaster strikes, natural disasters, economical disasters or worse?

On stage is a transparent screen that shows a tsunami wave, through which the dancers are moving. The disaster has occurred and they try to reach for each other.

The music is based on the song Smile by Charles Chaplin.

Smile was first performed in 2009 at the UIS, The University of Stavanger, Institute for musikk og dans.
